Sherry Correale I have always had a passion for animals, I grew up in a home where animals of all kinds, especially dogs, were always present. Over the years, I’ve grown to understand dogs and how they work. I love and appreciate all breeds and have owned and trained some non-traditional dogs in obedience, from a Daschund to an Italian Mastiff, a Basset Hound and now rescued Chihuahuas. I’m a firm believer that any dog is capable of learning and excelling in a training program. I am truly passionate about helping dogs and I like to apply my knowledge to help as many as I can find the love, comfort and happiness they deserve.
I’ve worked with several rescue organizations over the past four years, rehabilitating rescue puppies and dogs so they can be rehomed successfully. Providing stability, interaction and obedience to these dogs, many of them having challenging behavioral issues, rebuilds their confidence and allows them to move into their forever homes. I have been formally working with dogs and educating myself for over twenty years to develop my skillset.
I trained under Delta Sadler for three years of obedience training; attended several seminars including the Janice Gunn Obedience Workshop and took private lessons under Maury Grant, a local horse and cattle dog trainer. I continue to expand my education and learn, I’m currently training under Karen Brearley and have also enrolled in the Mike Ritland – 12 week training session. I have completed training in Rally Obedience, Competitive Obedience and Agility. I am currently working towards my Rally & Obedience Titles. Our 2018 goal is achieving my Rally Obedience Title.
