Learning to Weave with the 2 x 2 Weave Pole Method
The weave poles are the most complex of all the agility obstacles. Learn how to
create your dog’s solid understanding of how to enter the weaves correctly, how
to stay in the weaves until they are completed, and how to perform 6 or 12
weaves independently of the handler’s movement. We will be using trainer Mary
Ellen Barry’s 2 x 2 weave pole method.
Bring a hungry dog! Bring your dog’s breakfast with you to class, and use food
that can be easily tossed and seen on the floor.

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE AGILITY HANDLING CLASS
We are offering a recreational beginner agility handling class. Your dog must have a reliable recall, some basic obedience skills and have completed at least one session of obedience/rally classes at Longhaul. Dog must be at least 1 year old. No reactive dogs. These classes will be held mostly outdoors so dress for the weather.

AGILITY RELATIONSHIP REBUILDING
This class is not an agility class but working on your relationship with your dog. We will be doing attention work, recalls, tricks, wait, etc. using the equipment as distractions and as a reward. Our goal will be that you will have more value than the equipment. If you need help getting your dog back, this class is for you.

PRACTICE TIMES AGILITY AND OBEDIENCE
$10/student $15/non student **non students must have a signed waiver
you MUST reserve your times. (eg. 12 - 1 or 1-2pm)
all equipment must be put away when you are finished
Learn how to teach weave poles using the 2 X 2 method. Dogs must be friendly, non reactive and have a reliable recall. Lessons will have multiple dogs working together at the same time. You will also be required to bring a crate to class.
