BEGINNER/PUPPY CLASS

We Start at the beginning and teach your dog the basics using fun new motivational methods.  In this class we will teach your dog to sit, stand, down.. We will also teach them a more reliable recall and to go to a mark (which could be their bed, a rug, etc).  You will learn some new methods for teaching your dog to walk nicely on a leash.  Teaching a Wait and a Stay and a few fun new tricks to your will also be included...  Most importantly this will help to build your relationship with your dog.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS

The intermediate class will help you further develop your skills.  Your dog should have a good grasp of sit, down, stand as well as stays in all positions.  We will teach you more precision heeling and make sure you have some fun ideas to get your dog to retrieve.  We will work on keeping your dog's attention with distractions as well as introducing them to a few pieces of agility equipment.  We will teach more recall games and some fun tricks you can work on at home...  (Beginner class required)  LIMITED CLASS SIZE

​CANINE GOOD NEIGHBOUR CLASS

The Canine Good Neighbour class will make sure your dog has good basic manners.  This class is recommended for dogs who have had some basic training and may be a little older.  We will cover the exercises listed for the Canadian Kennel Club Good Neighbour Test.  Some of these include sitting nice while being pet, stay in place, coming when called, having someone hold your dog while you are out of sight, walking past a dog or person, etc...  The final class will be a practice test.   LIMITED CLASS SIZE

​BEGINNER RALLY

This set of 6 classes is for people who have previously trained here at Longhaul.  Must have completed a beginner and intermediate class.  We will combine a variety of obedience exercises and will work on the rally exercises and courses
